2019 ANNIE WRIGHT SCHOOLS FUND-A-NEED: SPACE TO PLAY

We are thrilled to announce the 2019 Fund-A-Need: SPACE TO PLAY. This project will support a new nature play area to inspire imagination, movement and discovery. Framed within the beautiful brick walls of the school on three sides, the new nature play area will inspire exploration, creativity and fun.

Elements include:

  • two beautiful outdoor classroom spaces with natural seating for Preschool to Grade 8
  • a wooden bridge that crosses an imaginary stream with a dry river rock bed for digging and building
  • a small boat for imaginative play
  • a willow tunnel leading to the adjacent playground
  • soft, evergreen plantings
  • log edging for further seating
  • rubber surfacing for year-round accessibility
